The NIPF are thrilled to be having our second 2026 Rookie Power Competition!
Ever wanted to compete in powerlifting? Not felt confident enough to join a full meet?
This is the perfect event for you!
The Rookie Power Competition is for lifters who haven’t competed before who want a real experience of what it’s like to get onto the platform. A full top-to-toe competition – platform, calibrated racks, plates and bars, and referees – but a relaxed vibe perfect for novice lifters. This will be a one day event with a cap of 56 lifters, and these competitions are always popular so get your entries in quick!
You must be an NIPF member in order to compete. Please purchase membership for 2026 before you sign up for this meet – if you don’t have membership and you sign up, you won’t be allowed to lift and you won’t be entitled to a refund.
Please also note that SubJunior lifters under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at weigh in.
