2026 NIPF Classic Championships

Our First Divisional Competition of the year will be the NIPF Classic Championships!

On the weekend of the 21st-22nd March, Evolution Gym, Coleraine, will play host to the NIPF Classic Championships. This is always an extremely popular event – the music will be loud and the lifts will be heavy!

This is a divisional level competition –  so NI records can be broken and chipped and this is also your first chance of the year to post up a qualifying total for the Home Nations and Small Nations Championships.

Some other things to note:

• Earlybird entry will go live on 21st January – if you volunteered in any capacity at the 2025 Home Nations or Christmas Classic events you are eligible for earlybird. 
• General entry will go live on 24th January.
• All kit worn on the platform must be on the IPF approved list.
• Entries will close once we reach capacity or 2 weeks before the meet, whichever happens first. Weight class changes also close 2 weeks out from the meet.
• The meet will be capped at 112 lifters.
• You must be an NIPF member to lift at this event, so please make sure you’ve signed up for membership or you will not be allowed to lift.
• This is a ‘classic’ competition, so age categories are in effect – sub-juniors are welcome to sign up! If you are under 18 on the day you lift, you must be accompanied to weigh in by a parent or guardian. 
• Full flight details will be released by 7th March at the latest.
